Rachael Ray Shares Rare Health Update After Fans Expressed Concern in Worrying Video

Over a month after fans shared concerns for Rachael Ray due to her behavior in a video—with fans accusing the star of “slurring” words and worrying about her physical appearance—Ray finally shared a rare health update.

On the debut episode of her new podcast I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead, Ray noted that she’s a big fan of physical activities, saying, “I really like chores. I like what people consider physical work. I like making dinners, planning dinners, making lists…helping carry in the wood.”

However, Ray said she hasn’t been able to be as active lately, telling the audience, “I’ve had a couple of bad falls in the last couple of weeks, so I haven’t been doing that in a while.”

Ray didn’t elaborate on her recent falls or what happened as a result of the incidents, but it was the first time she seemingly addressed the recent worries over her health.

At the start of September, Ray shared a video talking about a dish called osso buco, which she stated was the late singer Tony Bennett‘s favorite dish. Her appearance and behavior, including slurred speech, led many fans to comment asking about her health. After the clip, Ray’s team responded with “no comment.”

Ray just launched her new podcast, with actress and writer Jenny Mollen as her first guest. Fans seem to love the show so far, sharing strong support for Ray’s new venture on social media. Ray has continued to share cooking videos online as well, inviting fans into her kitchen with interesting recipes and fun stories.
